Ask LOIS is a project of Women’s Legal Service NSW (WLS NSW).
Ask LOIS is a website providing a legal online information service (LOIS) for community workers across NSW, who are responding to women with legal needs. It provides free information and online training on legal issues such as domestic violence, apprehended violence orders, family law, child protection, victims support and much more. Ask LOIS provides access to fortnightly webinars, resources, case studies and links to domestic violence services in NSW.
In 2011, WLS NSW was successful in its application for a startup grant from the Attorney General’s Department Grants to Australian Organisations Program.
In 2013, WLS NSW received further funding to continue the project until 2015 through the Attorney General’s Department’s NBN Regional Legal Assistance Program.
WLS NSW now funds Ask LOIS as an ongoing program.
Ask LOIS welcomes partnership, collaboration and sponsorship opportunities with organisations that share our vision of providing community workers with free access to high-quality legal information and support. We are particularly interested in partnering with organisations in rural and regional communities. If you would like to discuss these matters, please do not hesitate to contact us.
